18 month checkup

Emma had her 18 month check-up today. Other than a little cold (we think it is only a cold) she is doing really well. She is 22 lbs, 14 oz (between the 10th and 25th percentile), 30 1/4 inches tall (between the 5th and 10th percentile) and her head is 18.5 inches (between the 50th and 60th percentile).

This is a good reason why Emma should be very carefully watched when she eats squishy things...

Emma loves grown-up forks, but she's not great at using them yet. We're not quite sure why she uses two at a time!

We keep washcloths on the changing table in our family room, and Emma loves to play with them. She particularly seems to enjoy putting them on the dogs, for reasons which I do not particularly understand. I managed to catch a couple pictures of her doing it to Samantha. Emma has a great time, but the same cannot be said for poor Sammy!

Emma's not going to nice restaurants any time soon. Especially not if they serve Italian!

Our little castaway

We took Emma to the Castaway Play Cafe last weekend. She had a GREAT time - it turns out she really enjoys climbing around and sliding down the slides. I think it'll be a lot more fun after she's a bit older, though!

Melissa wasn't feeling all that well this weekend, so we spent some time hanging around the house. Emma really enjoys staring out the window:
