After a full day of running around the backyard, tormenting the dogs, and playing with puzzles, I am exhausted!

Happy Easter!

We're very sad that we couldn't make it to Chicago for Easter. So, we had our own Easter egg hunt. Emma had a great time!




(To be honest, though, her favorite part was the chocolate that was hidden in the plastic eggs...)

Emma can Read

So, it turns out Emma can read (actually she has a great memory and can recite many of her books word for word). Here she is demonstrating her impressive skills while reading her favorite book, I'll Teach My Dog a Lot of Words, to her new pet giraffe, Sally:

So we all know that Emma loves to sing. But now she is multi-tasking and creating a 1 person band:

Painting the birdhouse

Grandpa gave Emma a birdhouse back in the fall. Now that it's springtime, it's time to paint it and put it outside (we were going to have Emma paint it with Grandpa, but we keep forgetting to bring it out when Grandma and Grandpa are here). We spent the evening painting it, and we're going to put it outside tomorrow.


Emma did allow her Daddy to help.


He was allowed to mix paint, and hand her paint brushes. Some commentary on the painting was even tolerated (though not much).
