Like Father, Like Daughter

Daddy got a telescope for his birthday.  So we built Emma a telescope out of wrapping paper tubes (mommy's idea, daddy's execution) so that she could star gaze with her daddy:

Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch (and animal farm) today.  Boy did they have fun.

Here are the "carved"  pumpkins.  You can't tell, but the pumpkins have decoration or carvings on both sides of each one!

Emma's dance class has started up again, and she is loving it.  Here she is practicing her butterfly:

Ka-bunk

Emma has a favored way of getting down the stairs, she Ka-bunks on her butt.  She has now taught her sister that method:

Gone fishin' (take 2)

Emma and I (Brian) went to Lake Lansing to do some fishing today, and this time we made sure to bring hooks that were small enough for the fish!

Emma did very well.  She remember all of her lessons on how to cast with her fishing rod...

She caught 10 bluegills, though none of them were more than 4" long!

 

And she also really impressed me by holding a bunch of the fish in her hand after I took them off the hook, and put them back in the water herself!
