Some new Emma pics

Hi everybody! Emma has changed a lot over the last few weeks. She is a lot more interested in what's going on around her - here she is helping Daddy write an email:

And she has also learned that her fist is really, really tasty:

One thing that hasn't changed is that she still seems to be able to sleep pretty much anywhere:

Emma's 2-month checkup

Emma visited the pediatrician for her two-month checkup. She is 21.5 inches tall (10th percentile), she is 10 pounds, 14 ounces (50th percentile), and her head size is 15.25 inches (50th percentile). The doctor said that she's healthy and doing really well!

Happy Halloween!

Grandma and Grandpa O'Shea visited!

Grandma Jean and Grandpa Tim visited this weekend. We went to Frankenmuth, MI - home of Bronner's Christmas Wonderland and a bunch of other neat little places. Emma was so impressed that she fell asleep in her stroller!

Grandma O'Shea went a bit nuts with the gift-buying. Here you can see Grandpa carrying the bags. He looks very happy to be outside after two hours in Bronner's, doesn't he?

After we got home, everybody helped give Emma a bath.

She certainly enjoys her nice fluffy Hugh Hefner robe!

And, finally, here is a rare picture of Melissa, Brian and Emma together:

Laundry time!

Grandma and Grandpa O'Shea are coming to visit - time to do some laundry! Emma and Cassidy both offered to help out. Emma pretty much just lays around, though...

Who to root for?

UIUC played Michigan State yesterday. I had a terrible time deciding who to cheer for! I mean, Mom and Dad both went to U of I (for a total of sixteen years between the two of them!), but Daddy works for MSU, and they're the ones who keep me in diapers. So, I decided to split the difference with my Illini hat and my MSU cheerleader outfit:

Happy baby!

Emma is a very happy baby... when she's not a very, very grumpy baby. In the last week or so she has started smiling at us. We managed to take a video of her doing it, too!
