Visit from Chicago

Grandma Jean, Grandpa Tim, and Uncle Scott came up to meet Emma today!

Here's Emma with Grandpa Tim and Grandma Jean:

Here's the cake Grandma Jean brought up for us - since Mom and Dad's birthdays are right before Emma was born, we celebrated all three events!

Emma stats (and a picture)

Hi everybody,

We're having a nice, quiet afternoon at the hospital. Everybody's healthy and happy, and it looks like we're going home tomorrow morning! We're looking forward to bringing Emma home and introducing her to the dogs (who have no idea what's in store for them).

As a point of interest, Emma is 19.5 inches long (50th percentile), weighs 6 pounds, 10.5 ounces (15th percentile), and her head circumference is 13.6 inches (31st percentile). So, she has a relatively tiny head compared to other newborns, but it's a bit on the big size for her weight. So, it seems that she hasn't really inherited the O'Shea Big Head Gene!

Also, here's a picture I took last night. She has some big eyes!

Some more Emma pictures

Thanks to everybody for your congratulations and wishes. We really appreciate it! By popular demand, here are some more pictures.

The last post before Emma comes (we think)

Here's one last picture of Melissa before Emma actually arrives (her due date is tomorrow). You can tell that Melissa is being very, VERY patient with her loving husband who won't just take the darned camera and leave her alone.
