Back home

Sarah enjoying her cake while celebrating Papa's birthday:

The girls enjoying time with mommy & daddy's friends, Kenny & Kyoung Yim:

Sarah was close to crawling out of her crib.  So we had to switch her to a toddler bed (which makes mommy so very sad at how fast she is growing up):

Thanks for the great Minnie bed set Mimi.  Sarah seems to love it!

Christmas

Here are pictures of Christmas.  Emma in her outfit:

Sarah in hers (thanks again to Aunt Stephanie):

Playing with her cousins, Alexis & Ellen, on Christmas Eve:

Sarah wasn't a fan of Santa:

 Emma like him though:

Sarah loved playing with the boxing gloves she found:

And the kids table on Christmas day:

Modeling Christmas outfits the morning we celebrated with the family:

Sarah wasn't enthused with hers at first (this was a gift from Aunt Stephanie):

 Opening presents with Grandma:

She finally warmed up to her outfit:

 Helping Grandma make chocolate pretzels:

The girls also had a great time playing on the couch:

Fun at Uncle Scott's

While in Chicago, we got to visit Uncle Scott's new house.  The girls were a huge fan of the pool table:

Learning how to play pool:

Relaxing and watching a movie in the theater:

Coloring on the floor (with special markers that don't color anything but the paper):
We had a great time at a restaurant called All Aboard (a train themed restaurant).  Here are the kids watching all the things up front:

Waiting for our lunch to come on the train:

All around the Christmas tree, sort of:

Enjoying some snow eating in the backyard:

Thanks for a great time Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Mike & Kayla!

Sledding

The girls got to go sledding for the first time this season.  Emma had a blast:

Sarah didn't like the actual sledding, but she liked being pulled on the sled by her daddy:

She also liked to wait in the warm car with papa:

Early Christmas

Because we are never home on Christmas Day, Santa comes to our house early.  Boy did the girls have fun with presents!

Here is Sarah on her new couch (this was the hit of the day)

With her new sunglasses:

 The girls sharing the couch:

Here are the girls when they first saw the presents:

Here is Emma opening her gifts:

And here is Sarah opening her gifts:

Playing together

The girls like to play next to each other.  Here they are playing with their own dollhouses (this didn't last long):

Here they are doing their own puzzles together:

Dance recital

Emma had her dance recital today.  She was great in it!  Here is a picture of her costume:

Here is her tap routine to Dominic the Donkey (Emma is the front row, third from the right side of the screen):

Fun Times

Emma got to have an extra special fun day today.  First she started the day by helping daddy make a big pancake breakfast (and Sarah helped too):

Then she went to Home Depot for some daddy/daughter time (but we forgot to send the camera for pictures of that).  Then she went to her first ever movie in a theater (Frozen) with mommy:

It sure was fun; Emma did great and ate Popcorn, Twizzlers and Reese's Pieces during the movie (mommy was a sucker).  What a great day for everyone!

Fun pictures

Here is an update on the tree.  Mimi and Papa came to help the girls put on their new 2013 ornaments.  Here is Sarah & Mimi:

And here are the girls playing with their new backpacks.  They came with stuffed animal buddies you buckle on to it:

New stuff

The girls each got some wall decals from Mimi & Papa and mommy struggled to put them all up today.  Here is the result of all the struggle:

A huge Minnie for Sarah's room (turns out Minnie came in about 5 parts which were really hard to line up and she is really huge):

And princess for Emma.  She has the castle and then ALL the Disney princesses lined up on her wall:

Thanks Mimi & Papa!

Check-up

Sarah had her 18 month check-up today.  The doctor said she is doing wonderfully!  She is finally lower on the weight scale then height scale; of course, her head is still huge comparatively (it holds all those brains)!  Here are the stats:

Height: 32.5" (50 percentile)
Weight: 23 lbs, 9 oz (45 percentile)
Head: 18.8 in (80 percentile)

Tree

We put up the Christmas tree on Sunday. Emma had lots of fun helping.  Sarah has mostly had fun helping us take all the ornaments off the tree.

Random weekend pics

Some random pictures taken at Mimi & Papa's:

The morning Cheerio party in Mimi's bed with all the girls:

The cousins all playing together (sort of):

Turns out Sarah LOVED the scooter that Emma has at Mimi & Papa's house.  She spent all weekend standing on it trying to make it move:
