Halloween Part 3

The actual day of Halloween, finally.  And we had a number of costume changes for both girls:

Here she is as a friendly witch for school:

As Baterina for mall trick or treating:

Sarah as a garden fairy (she refused to wear the hat):

The girls with their friends trick or treating at the mall:

Emma as Minnie for actual trick or treating:

 And the little pumpkin girl:

Sarah had the best time trick or treating, running from house to house and taking candy for her bucket:

Only 1 more Halloween activity (our costume party on Saturday). Thank goodness, because mommy is getting so tired of costume changes!

Early Holidays

Brian and I bought a new bike for Sarah for the holidays (mommy couldn't bend over pushing her on the bike anymore).  Sarah seems to love it, don't you think:

Happy Halloween Part 2

So, to extend our Halloween week a little longer, the girls got their second trick or treating opportunity today, and they went for a costume change:

Daddy bought this Yoda costume for Emma when she was 1.  Sarah seemed to like it:

For comparison, here is Emma in the same costume:

Here are the girls together (Emma opted to go as Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates):

With all of their friends before trick or treating:

Part 3 will follow on Thursday!

New shoes

Daddy got a new pair of shoes.  They sure are wiggly:

Happy Halloween Part 1

We have started our Halloween adventures (actually they started last weekend at the zoo, but we forgot the camera).  So here we are at the nature center:

Emma picking her pumpkin at the little patch:

Sarah trying to decide between her 2 choices:

Emma trying to break the pumpkin pinata (it took a lot of kids a lot of swings to break that open for the candy):

Emma making a tootsie spider (looks more like an octopus to mommy):

 Emma's halloween tattoo:

 Posing with Mr. Knight:

Here is Emma playing pin the tail on the cat.  She was very insistent that she put it in the right place when she missed:

Here is Sarah trying to pin the tail:

Emma trying to pumpkin bowl (turns out without gutters, her aim isn't so great):

Finally, here is Sarah showing her skill at  tick tack toe throw:

Here we are trick or treating at the mall.  Emma chose to go in her Cinderella costume:

Sarah in her pumpkin (that she didn't like so much):

Randomness

Here are some random pictures we have taken over the past week or so:

I am not sure that seat was meant for 2:

Not the traditional place one drinks their bottle:

Enjoying a nice fall day by covering the driveway in chalk:

 Where's Sarah:

And I have absolutely NO IDEA:

And some cute videos; Sarah practicing for her winter chore, snow shoveling:

And Sarah practicing for when she might have chicken pox, maybe?:

Art

The girls enjoying some art time.

Here is Emma painting with homemade puffy paint:

And Emma painting, with regular paint, while Sarah colors in her high chair.  Though to be fair, Sarah did more eating of the crayons than coloring!

Like Father, Like Daughter

Daddy got a telescope for his birthday.  So we built Emma a telescope out of wrapping paper tubes (mommy's idea, daddy's execution) so that she could star gaze with her daddy:

Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch (and animal farm) today.  Boy did they have fun.

Here is Sarah in her cute Halloween clothes:

 Sarah choosing her pumpkin:

Emma forcing daddy to hold her pumpkin:

The girls with all 7 of our pumpkins (and notice the matching outfits):

In the cart with all the pumpkins (we had too many to carry, so had to have a cart):

 Emma taking a horse ride:

Here was Emma cheering on the pigs while they raced; she had already chased them around the track, but mommy missed that video:

Here are the girls feeding apples to the goats:

And finally, Emma getting a chance to feed a 3 1/2 week old calf:

Here are the "carved"  pumpkins.  You can't tell, but the pumpkins have decoration or carvings on both sides of each one!

What a great day!

Chefs

Turns out that Sarah might want to start cooking even earlier than Emma:

Here is a video of the mixing skills:
