State Fair

The Michigan State Fair was this weekend, and Mimi and Papa were kind enough to take the girls (and mommy).  What a great time.

Then came the favorite ride of all, the Fun Slide (mommy's butt was sore after taking Sarah down so much):

 Then the girls went to their very first circus.  They both loved it, but Sarah refused to get near the clowns for a picture (her daddy would be proud):

Happy Birthday Emma, Part 2

Emma got to go to Chuck E Cheese with her 2 best friends this morning.  What a nice party they throw:

Emma got to go in the ticket blaster.  She started scooping tickets as soon as she got in (before it was turned on).  The lady was nice enough to let her keep everything she picked up, including the magic ticket worth 1000 tickets (and double everything else she got):

Here was her birthday cake, made by mommy.  I was quite proud of my job:

Happy Birthday Emma Part 1

Emma had her first birthday party yesterday with all of her friends.  She was so excited and had so much fun:

What a great day.  Up tomorrow, a smaller gathering at Chuck E Cheese, followed by a visit from Mimi & Papa, and then dinner and gifts with daddy!

Girls Weekend

Daddy was out of town for the weekend with some of his guy friends, so the girls had a fun weekend with mommy.  We were very busy:

We built a boat and took a sail around the house:

Mommy took the girls to Home Depot for the kids workshop.  Here they are building pencil holders:

We went to see the Children's Theater production of Little Mermaid.  The girls had fun and were well behaved, much to Mommy's surprise:

The kids drove their cars; Sarah is finally getting the hang of the gas pedal.  Next up, steering:

The girls were sleeping in mommy's room while daddy was gone. Emma is supposed to be the roll-away next to the bed.  Mommy had a bit of a surprise when I went upstairs to find her king size bed had been taken over:

 

It was a great weekend, but mommy is ready for daddy to be home!
