Big girl

Sarah has become such a big girl, that it was time for her to have a big girl bed.  So Mimi and Papa got her one for her birthday.  It came while she was at her last day of school and mommy got it all ready for her:

She was super excited about getting home to see and test her bed.  Here was the big moment:

Happy birthday party day Sarah

The birthday celebrations have started for Sarah, because let's face it, one day of birthday is never enough.  Today was her friend party and what a great time Sarah had!

The balloon bouquet:
Sarah and Emma with the 6' Elsa:

There was also a signing Frozen balloon, but sadly the girls managed to pop it before mommy could get a video to annoy everyone with.

Next came the pinata, because no party is complete without one:

And the horde descending for candy:

Then the cake.  It is amazing how particular all children are about what piece of cake they want to eat.  Every single child had a particular thing they wanted (mountain, grass, only blue, only pink).

Gardening!

We got our garden planted a couple of weeks ago.  Here are the girls helping to plant:

We are hoping to have a huge vegetable garden grow!  Wish us luck.

School fun

Emma had her Kindergarten showcase last night.  What an amazing program her teacher put together.  We are so impressed with Emma and how hard she has worked this year and all she has learned.  Hard to believe she is just 2 short weeks away from graduating Kindergarten!

First in the day was the letter parade.  Unsurprisingly, Emma choose to be an "E":

Then later that night, all of the kids got dressed up for their performances.  First up was the planting of some Sunflower seeds that she will get to measure each day at school and then take home at the end of the year:

Next up was "Stump  the Kindergartners."  The kindergartners have spent all Spring learning nursery rhymes and being able to recall them. Parents gave them a letter and they had to sing the nursery rhyme that corresponded.  Needless to say, the parents failed to stump them!

Next came the skits.  Emma did great with her line:

Turns out we sat on the wrong side of the room.  In case you couldn't hear she "caught a fox and put it in a box."

Then came her music class performance.  Here they were building a house:

Finally, a picture of her with her teacher, Mrs. Shubel.  How lucky Emma was to get assigned to her class!
