Baby comparison

So, totally by coincidence, we took almost the same picture of Emma, when she was a baby, and Sarah.  Can you tell the difference:

In case anyone couldn't tell from the hair, the top picture is Emma, the bottom, Sarah!

Here is another set, who is who?

Again, Emma is on top and Sarah on bottom!

Random pictures

Here are just some random pictures we have taken over the last two weeks.

Look, it's a Sarah Pretzel:

Emma loves to snuggle her baby sister.  The trick is to make sure she doesn't actually lay on top of Sarah:

This is the life:

Ok, mommy and daddy just thought this was funny; thankfully, Sarah didn't seem to mind it:

And finally, Aunt Stephanie bought an adorable onesie for Sarah.  And in case we have trouble remembering her name, we won't with this one on:

Arts & Crafts time

Aunt Stephanie gave Emma a paintable yo-yo when she came to visit, and Emma and Daddy spent some time putting it together and painting it today.  Here they are, hard at work!

Emma did every last bit of the painting and decorating herself.  She's VERY proud of it!

After painting the yo-yo, she was really on a roll and wanted to keep painting.  So, we decided to paint the box that the yo-yo kit came in as well.  Daddy did a bit of the painting here, but it was mostly Emma again!

Swimming lessons

Emma started swimming lessons last weekend.  Her lesson had a bit of a rough start, but it went pretty well.  She managed to stay in the water without one of her parents sitting in there with her, and she even let the swimming instructor pull her out into the middle of the pool.  She said that she had fun, and is looking forward to another lesson!

O'Shea family visit

A bunch of the O'Sheas came to visit from Chicago this weekend.  We had a wonderful time - Emma especially liked that her cousins (and Aunt Christie and Uncle Scott!) spent the night and had fun in the morning as well!

Here's Granny, Grandma, and Grandpa with the kids:

Alexis with her newest cousin.

All of the cousins together.  Dave looks like he's really happy to be taking pictures, doesn't he?

The kids also had a great time playing outside.

We even made a water slide!  That's Uncle Scott pouring water down the slide while Emma goes flying down it...  It really sped the slide up a LOT!

Emma and Alexis had a great time chatting on the playset.

And, finally, all four of the cousins for comparison purposes.  Alexis is six and a half, Dave is 3 years and 3 months, Emma is 2 years and 10 months, and Sarah is 9 days old in this picture.

Family visit

Aunt Stephanie came to visit this week, and we wanted to post a few pictures of the Wurtzels with Sarah and Emma.

Here's Mimi, holding Sarah and chatting with Emma:

Sleeping kiddo

Just a quick post... she's really cute when she sleeps!

Tummy time!

Sarah had some tummy time this morning.  She seemed to enjoy it for a while...

But it went downhill eventually.

Introducing Sarah Elizabeth O'Shea!

Sarah Elizabeth O'Shea was born at 1:03 a.m. this morning, 6/1/2012.  She's 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and is 20.5" long with a 13.5" head.  Mom and baby are both doing very well!

Here's the first picture of Sarah:

Sarah has to spend a few hours in the NICU (nothing serious - everything's fine!) and here's a picture of her in the ICU.
